Varun Mandgi

Varun Mandgi is a senior at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School in Richmond, Virginia. Some of his literary interests include acting as the editor of his school's newspaper and political magazine. He also loves to compete in Lincoln Douglas debate, wrestling, sprint, and polevault. When he is not competing or writing, he can often be found playing the clarinet, baritone saxophone, trumpet, or piano; if none of these instruments can be found on him, then you may hear him singing bass and baritone for his school's acapella group! Varun loves spending his free time reading up on some of his favorite philosophers, including Rawls and Rousseau.
