Khushie Shelat

Khushie Shelat is a 14-year-old from Jericho, New York. She got gold keys last year and this year in poetry in the Scholastic Art & Writing competition, and she has gotten honorable mentions in the podcast competitions NPR and New York Times. She recently become a first degree black belt in karate, and she started a fundraiser for health workers who work day and night because of Covid-19. Her goal was 2,000 dollars and she ended up raising 3,313 dollars
