Spoken Word Submission Guidelines
General Rolling Submissions
Must be submitted in a Youtube link format, or a link that can be uploaded to Youtube. The piece can be between 1-5 minutes long. The submission can feature the speaker in the video, or it can be in the form of audio coupled with a thematic picture. The submission must be an original piece written by the speaker; presentation of other works will only be accepted when in the context of a competition. The submission is to be coupled with a short written piece (2-3 sentences) about the poem, explaining its relevance and impact on the speaker.
Spoken Word Contest Submissions
Must be submitted in a Youtube link, or a link that can be uploaded to Youtube. The piece can be between 1-5 minutes long. The submission must feature the speaker in the video, and the speaker must recite a poem previously written and published by another poet. The submitter must also submit a short explanation (2-3 sentences) as to why they think the poem they chose fits the theme.

The importance of education about current issues
Your personal feelings towards returning to school during the pandemic
Your personal feelings towards funding of schools/teacher salary and how this corresponds with the pandemic and the federal threat for the mandatory reopening schools
