Blog Submission Guidelines
Welcome to the blog submissions portal. We accept news articles, opinionated editorials, editorial art, and culture reviews.
We are looking for work that expresses honest opinions and emotional responses to timely and relevant personal or world issues. This may include works pertaining to identity, social media culture, mental illness, global warming, COVID-19, and more. If you believe your work adheres to this theme, please make sure to include a short explanation in the first text box provided after you log in.
You are eligible for submission if you are between the ages of 13 and 22. We do not accept previously published work unless it has been published only in print or it has been recognized in a contest. Works from personal blogs or personal social media accounts are also accepted. We allow simultaneous submissions as long as we are notified at our email (firstname.lastname@example.org) immediately after their acceptance in another publication.
New stories should be accurate and informative and linked at least two credible sources.
Editorials should have a clear angle or perspective.
Culture reviews should be interesting.
Submit articles, editorials, and/or reviews. Format your work as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf and start a new piece on a different page. We will accept no more than 3 pieces.
Plagiarism is not allowed.
Once you press the "submit here" button and enter our submissions manager, submit your work as an article regardless of what type of writing it is (IF your submission is an editorial, editorial art, podcast, news article, or a culture review.)
In the title box/ the name of your submission document, please include only the title, not the name of the writer or artist.
All submissions must be in English.
We do not accept submissions that include slurs or hate speech.
If you are accepted, you will be contacted by email within the next month. If not, you may assume that your work has not found a place in our blog.
Submissions must be sent in by 11:59 PM EST on May 15, 2020 to be considered for our May-June 2020 issue.
We look forward to reviewing your work!
