Nikoleta Giannakou is an 18-year-old young adult from Thessaloniki, Greece. She gets inspiration from the beauty of life and the present. The present is given to each one of us. She welcomes life in all her hues and loves and trusts her in any form. She has a number of awards regarding her academic performance (Certificate of Academic Excellence, Ministry of Education 2015-2018, First Place award, Math and Logic Competition, Anatolia College ACSTAC 2017), her creative writing (Honorary Award, “International Competition of Literature Alexandros Papadiamantis”--category: poetry 2019) and her ballet performances (First Prize for solo and group choreography at “IV Balkan Arts & Dance Olympiad,” Serbia (2019), First Prize for solo and group choreography at “First Continental Music & Dance Olympiad” 2019). She has also been very active in both instrumental music (violin 8 years, piano 2) and vocal (4.5 years). She has attended multiple summer programs both in Europe and in the US some of them being Ballet Summer Course Budapest, Budapest(2017), Ballet West Summer School Scotland, Taynuilt -Scotland (2018) and The Kenyon Review Young Writers Workshop, Ohio, US (2019). Lastly, she has vast volunteer experience in the educational field (teacher assistant for the Rainbow camp) and in amusing hospitalized children (Antirida).
